Victorian Terrace Renovation in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

  • Set within a tall, narrow Victorian terrace in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Lightened Up rethinks the home’s layout to make every space work harder. The project focused on redistributing service functions - laundry, dressing and storage - to the upper floors, freeing up valuable space at ground level for family living. A calm, muted palette was chosen to bridge contrasting tastes and act as a backdrop to the clients’ vibrant artwork. Custom joinery and inventive IKEA adaptations made use of every awkward corner, from under-eaves wardrobes to built-in hallway storage. Subtle structural adjustments, like large pocket doors and reconfigured openings, improved flow and daylight throughout. The result is a home that feels brighter, more balanced and perfectly tailored to its family.
